PLEASE REGISTER FOR KOL NIDRE AND YOM KIPPUR MORNING BY WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9 TO ENSURE YOU RECEIVE ALL OF THE ZOOM AND IN-PERSON LOCATION INFORMATION!

Our first High Holidays will take place at the Church in Ocean Park in Santa Monica, CA (or you are welcome to join online).  All tickets are name-your-own price.  We suggest $75 per service since this is our main fundraising for the year, but you can suggest any amount or no amount!  All donations will be tax-deductible.

For those new to humanistic Judaism, the services will feel oddly familiar, and a little new.  You will hear beloved melodies, some fresh ideas and songs, and experience community, meditation, and connection to self, each other, and nature -- with no pressure to believe in anything but yourself!

Rosh Hashanah morning will take place in the sanctuary of this interfaith church and online.  We will have a musical service, shofar blowing, and a walk to the beach after with a loaf of bread for tashlich.  ​

Kol Nidre will also take place in the sanctuary of the Church in Ocean Park and online.  We will have the traditional three repetitions of the beloved Kol Nidre melody and explore self-reflection, renewal and do an exercise in gratitude.

Yom Kippur morning will be a different format.  We will meet at the Hill Street Center bungalow right next door to the Church in Ocean Park.  We will start the morning at 10am with Nizkor (memorial service) followed by a song circle at 11am and a meditation with singing bowls and vocals at 12pm.  It will be a morning for connecting to loved ones we have lost and centering ourselves for starting the New Year feeling fresh and ready to be one step closer to the people we want to be.

You must register for each service individually and list if you will be in-person or online. Sorry for that inconvenience but it really helps on our end. :)
